Meet Our Office Manager, Darby Smith!

Darby has been with Accent Maid Service since December 26, 2023. She works hard in the office in the mornings and is out cleaning in the afternoons. She is the glue that keep us on track!

Why do you like cleaning?

I enjoy cleaning because it gives me a chance to tune out the outside world and fully focus on a task. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people—whether they’re physically unable to clean or simply too busy, it feels good to know I’ve taken something off their plate. Plus, cleaning offers immediate, visible results, which gives a real sense of accomplishment.

What do you like about managing the company?

I really enjoy getting to know each of our employees on a personal level and working to create a positive, supportive work environment. I also love building relationships with our clients—it gives me the chance to take a more hands-on approach and make sure we’re truly meeting their needs.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to stay active and spend as much time outside as possible. I play golf, volleyball, and basketball, and you’ll often find me out on a walk several times a day. I’m also a huge animal lover—I horseback ride, volunteer at horse farms, and run my own dog walking business, which keeps me busy and brings me a lot of joy.

Any hobbies or other interests?

Family is really important to me. I travel back home to Virginia to see them as often as I can—it helps me stay grounded and connected.

Significant others, pets?

My partner Matt and I have been together since 2016. We both graduated from WVU and enjoy golfing and going to the movies together.

I had to say goodbye to my soul dog, Emmylou, in March 2024. It was incredibly tough, but I’m hoping to welcome another furry friend into my life by the end of the year.
